Timberline Ace Hardware

History

Timberline Ace Hardware, a family owned and operated business, has been serving the Telluride community for forty years. The business was founded in 1969 by Jack and Davine Pera, who represent the mining heritage of Telluride. Dave and Joe Anne Erickson bought the business from the Peras in 1980. In 1985, Tom and Val Mortell partnered with the Ericksons and began a successful 18 year relationship until the Ericksons retired in 2003. In 2006, Tom Mortell Jr. came into the business. In 2011, Tom and Val retired leaving Tom Jr. the reins as the second generation of Mortells serving the Telluride community.

Timberline is a family run business, and is a member of the Ace Hardware Cooperative which serves over 4,400 stores worldwide. Timberline has access to over 63,000 items in the Colorado Springs Retail Support Center which services the store with two deliveries a week.

Our goal is to provide our customers with outstanding service, quality products, and great value, and to be “the most outstanding hardware store on the planet.”
